About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will support the site's financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business performance analysis activities while also serving as the Site Customs Coordinator, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and trade requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Supply Chain Procurement and Logistics, and external customs authorities to provide actionable financial insights and maintain robust customs compliance processes.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis
  • Support the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Prepare monthly financial performance reports and variance analysis against budget and forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and business performance improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse manufacturing costs, inventory performance, and operational KPIs.
  • Partner with functional leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Prepare presentations and management reports for site leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, data analytics, and dashboard development.
Customs & Trade Compliance
  • Act as the site's Customs Coordinator and subject matter expert for customs compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations, import/export requirements, and internal policies.
  • Maintain customs documentation and records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate customs audits and support interactions with customs authorities and external brokers.
  • Review and monitor tariff classifications, country of origin determinations, and customs valuation requirements.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, and external service providers to resolve customs-related issues.
  • Monitor changes in customs legislation and assess potential business impacts.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of customs compliance procedures and training.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise customs processes, duty management, and trade compliance controls.
RequiredQualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or finalist level.
  • 3+ years' experience in accounting, financial analysis, or FP&A within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred
  • Experience in customs, import/export compliance, or international trade operations.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and duty management processes.
  • Experience with Power BI, data analytics, or reporting tools.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
