We are currently hiringa Senior Radiographerfor a reputed hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Contract/Full Time
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT and/or MRI examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and radiation safety standards.
- Ensure accurate patient identification, preparation, positioning, and imaging for diagnostic procedures.
- Operate and maintain CT and MRI equipment safely and efficiently.
- Administer intravenous contrast media where appropriate, following hospital policies and protocols.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond promptly to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation of imaging procedures.
- Work closely with Radiologists, Consultants, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior radiographers, students, and new staff members.
- Participate in staff training, clinical education, and professional development initiatives.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing imaging protocols and departmental policies.
Requirements
- Diploma of the College of Radiographers (Diagnostic), Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Radiography, or an equivalent qualification.
- Current CORU registration as a Radiographer.
- Experience working collaboratively as part of a Radiography team.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy clinical environment.
- Demonstrated experience in CT and/or MRI imaging.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to manage both clinical and non-clinical situations.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD), with a high level of responsibility, initiative, and commitment to delivering quality patient care.
