eir Business Talent are currently inviting applications for Management Accountant – a 12 month contract position. The role is based in Dublin and operates on a hybrid working model (3 days in the office / 2 days remote).

Role Overview

Project Financial Management Specialist
Experience: 5+ years
Project Financial Management

Capex & Opex Accounting
  • Perform Capex vs. Opex assessments in accordance with IFRS/GAAP standards and internal policies.
  • Ensure proper capitalization of IT development, hardware, software, and internal labor costs.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers for IT assets, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and impairments.
Business Partnering
  • Collaborate closely with IT Project Managers, PMO teams, and vendors to understand project milestones, resource requirements, risks, and financial impacts.
  • Provide financial guidance to project managers to strengthen cost control, forecasting accuracy, and financial governance.
  • Facilitate monthly project review meetings with IT leadership.
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Support the annual budgeting cycle and quarterly reforecasts for IT project spend.
  • Develop detailed financial models, including multi-year Capex planning.
  • Provide insights into spend phasing, cost-to-complete projections, and resource allocation.
Controls, Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure IT project financials comply with corporate finance policies and accounting standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and audit trails for project expenditures.
  • Support internal and external audit processes as required.
  • Review vendor invoices, purchase orders, and contracts to ensure financial alignment and approval compliance.
