The Senior Internal Auditor will deliver a risk-based internal audit programme by planning, conducting and reporting on audit assignments, providing assurance onf the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control processes.
SVHG has an Internal Audit function and its remit includes St.
Vincent's University Hospital, St.
Michael's Hospital and St.
Vincent's Private Hospital.
Essential Criteria: Qualified Accountant (
*see recognised bodies below) or Qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors Minimum 5 years experience working in a Finance Department/Auditing Practice/Internal Audit Department Minimum 2 years experience working in an Internal Audit Department (this 2 year period can form part of the 5 years experience referred to above) Experience of managing/performing multiple audits at the same time, dealing with competing priorities and ensuring that targets are achieved.
Have good communication Be a strongly motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal & analytical skills Strong attention to detail Strong IT skills including- Microsoft products and Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of the Health Service and Public Sector including regulations, legislation and governance requirements. xyswxtq
Knowledge of systems used within the Health Service
*Accountancy Qualifications ACA (Institute of Chartered), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), CIPFA (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy), CPA (Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland), IIPM (Institute of Incorporated Public Accountants).
