Speech and Language Therapist - Nationwide Opportunities Emerald Locums is building a network of talented Speech and Language Therapists to support our growing number of healthcare clients across Ireland. We work with leading public and private healthcare providers, offering exciting locum and permanent opportunities in a variety of clinical settings. Pay Rate: €35-€45 per hour (depending on experience) Typical Responsibilities As a Speech and Language Therapist, you may be responsible for: Assessing adults and older persons with communication and/or swallowing disorders. Developing and implementing evidence-based assessment and intervention plans. Managing patients with dysphagia in accordance with best practice guidelines. Providing education and support to patients, families, and carers. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centred care. Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards. Contributing to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice. Supporting patients to maximise communication, independence, and quality of life. What We're Looking For BSc or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent recognised qualification. CORU registration, or eligibility to register with CORU (candidates with registration in process are welcome to apply). Previous clinical experience working with adult and geriatric populations. Experience in assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders. Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A valid work permit or the legal right to work in Ireland. A full driving licence and access to a car may be required for some community-based positions. Commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.
