Job Purpose: Inspire Credit Union is seeking an energetic and community-focused Youth Liaison Officer to lead engagement with young people across primary schools, secondary schools, third-level institutions, and the wider community. The successful candidate will act as a brand ambassador for the Credit Union, delivering financial education, promoting membership growth, and developing long-term relationships that support the financial well-being of young people. This role presents a great opportunity for anyone looking to develop a career within the financial services sector. Primary Schools Build and maintain strong relationships with local primary schools. Coordinate and support school savings programmes and encourage junior membership growth. Deliver age-appropriate workshops on saving, spending, online safety, and financial awareness. Support competitions, sponsorships, quizzes, and other educational initiatives that strengthen school engagement. Secondary Schools Develop partnerships with secondary schools and student communities. Deliver financial literacy, budgeting and digital finance programmes tailored to Junior Cycle, TY and Senior Cycle students. Promote current accounts, savings products and membership opportunities. Support school events, presentations and initiatives that increase student engagement with the Credit Union. Third-Level Institutions Build relationships with students, societies, lecturers and campus staff. Represent the Credit Union at college events, careers fairs and promotional activities. Deliver workshops on budgeting, borrowing responsibly, savings and digital banking. Generate and follow up on membership and lending opportunities arising from student engagement activities. Community Engagement Work closely with the Community Development Committee to support local initiatives and sponsorships. Represent the Credit Union at community events, festivals, information evenings and promotional campaigns. Build relationships with community organisations, clubs and local businesses. Help maximise brand awareness and community impact through meaningful local partnerships. What We Are Looking For Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills. Strong organisational and planning abilities with a proactive approach to outreach and engagement. An interest in financial education, youth development and community engagement. Experience in education, business development, sales, marketing, community development or a customer-facing environment is desirable. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Full driving licence and willingness to travel locally. Successful completion of Garda Vetting. Requirements: Minimum competency requirements will apply to the role, with the selected candidates required to either have a minimum competency qualification or agree to work toward the completion of a minimum competency qualification. A finance or marketing qualification would be desirable. Experience within the financial services sector would be desirable Experience with youth engagement, working with community-based organisations, would be desirable. A proven track record of strong relationship building. A full clean driving license and access to a vehicle is necessary and this role will require travel to various locations.
