Carlton Hotel is a luxury 4-star Hotel with a broad clientele base including business clients and Park-Sleep-Fly travellers. We are conveniently located next to the Airport and just five minutes from the M1 and M50.

The Person:

We are currently recruiting for Kitchen Porters for our Team. You may be someone who has an interest in progressing into the role of Commis Chef in the future. Specific responsibilities in this role include:

• Being open and willing to learn
• Cleaning of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, equipment, etc, as required, and to ensure they are stored correctly
• To carry out cleaning duties in a timely manner, as per the Kitchen cleaning schedule, and in accordance with our Hotel policies and procedures and with your training
• To complete daily/weekly cleaning checklists for all cleaning tasks performed
• To ensure the highest level of food safety and cleanliness of your workplace at all times
• Working collaboratively with your colleagues, offering them assistance in response to any needs they may have
• To adhere to your health & safety training, and Company policies and procedures, in respect of Fire, Health and Safety, Hygiene and Food Hygiene
• To assist in ensuring that we offer excellent customer service to all our guests at all times
• To ensure that you maintain the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct at all times

The successful applicant will:

• Ideally, have some previous experience in the Hotel / hospitality sector, working in a busy kitchen environment
• Be provided with full training, mentoring, and support
• Possess a positive, fun, can-do attitude
• Have a calm, efficient, professional, and organised approach to your work
• Have good communication skills, with a basic level of English as a minimum
• Demonstrate the highest level of attention to detail
• Be able to work as part of a Team or on your own initiative
• Have a good standard of health / level of fitness, and be capable of, and comfortable with, physical activity
• Be flexible as regards work shifts (as our operation covers Monday to Sunday, with early and late shifts)
