Established Professor

The College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (CMNHS) seeks to appoint an Established Professor in Health Technology Innovation (0.5 FTE, permanent), based in the discipline of Anatomy, who will lead the Universitys Accelerating Research to Commercialisation for the duration of the SFI ARC Hub for HealthTech award. We seek to appoint a progressive and highly committed individual who combines strong academic credentials with a record of accomplishment in the leadership and management of health technology innovation and the development and sustained leadership of technology-focused research initiatives. This leadership role requires an individual to have senior management and leadership experience, experience in leading medical technology development and innovation within a higher education institution, and prior experience building a high-performing team and successful innovation ecosystem. The capacity to build and maintain strong relationships within the University and other research performing organisations and with clinical partners and industry stakeholders will be vital to the success of the Hub.

Salary: €142,869 to €180,621 pro rata p.a (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011) This appointment will be made on the Established Professor scale in line with current Government pay policy and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Universitys Remuneration policy.
