The Role: The transaction team are looking for an experienced and strategically minded Associate to join their team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Transactions and work closely across the cross-functional teams which include development, finance, operations, legal and other business units. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated candidate with a background in Finance and M&A to join a market leading team and to play a key role in delivering business commercial success and continued sustainable growth. What you will do:

• Play a role in preparing, managing and executing transactions as the team optimises the current and future pipeline in terms of asset divestments / investments, joint ventures, partnership opportunities and to manage ongoing relationships with existing stakeholders
• Prepare and help execute comprehensive transaction documentation, including marketing materials, deal structuring, term sheets, agreements and contracts
• Collaborate with a multi-functional deal team across technical, legal and finance to deliver commercial success for each asset/portfolio.
• Work closely with the internal financial modelling team to develop and maintain financial models, forecasts and analyses to support transaction evaluations and negotiations
• Conduct thorough due diligence on potential transactions, including financial analysis, risk assessment, market research and asset valuation to inform robust decision-making

Your profile

What you will need:

• ACA qualification or similar (e.g. ACCA, CFA).
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record of successfully managing complex financial transactions. Experience the renewable energy sector, infrastructure or similar an advantage.
• Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in analysing financial data
• In-depth knowledge of mergers and acquisitions processes
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders
• Detail orientated with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance
• High level adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
