Senior Technical Officer, Department of Physiology Specific Purpose Whole-Time Post (anticipated duration 5 years) The Department of Physiology wishes to recruit a Senior Technical Officer. The successful candidate will play a key role in the Departments teaching, learning and research activities. Candidates should have a Masters degree qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience, or have been employed as a Technical Officer in a University in the State before July 2006. Candidates should have demonstrable experience of working to a high level in a life sciences or related work setting. Applicants must demonstrate core competencies in one or more areas relating to pre-clinical study design and execution, animal husbandry, in vivo and ex vivo techniques, cell and molecular techniques, histology and microscopy, as well as competencies in project and data management. Experience and competency in supporting projects in a laboratory or related work setting is essential.
