Accountant

Accountant | Dublin

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented finance professional to join a growing finance team within a well-established construction business in Dublin. This role plays a key part in supporting financial operations, compliance and strategic planning activities.

The Role:

• Overseeing daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate general ledger records
• Coordinating with vendors, contractors, and relevant authorities for compliance and reporting
• Handling bank reconciliations and monitoring cash movements
• Supporting month-end processes including accruals, inter-company adjustments, and journal entries
• Ensuring timely and accurate submissions for tax and statutory obligations (e.g. VAT, payroll taxes, subcontractor regulations)
• Assisting in preparing project-level financial assessments and forecasts
• Participating in budgeting and financial planning, including ongoing cash flow monitoring
• Supporting external audits and preparation of financial reports such as P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow summaries

The Person:

• Fully qualified accounting professional or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in financial systems and software (Excel, Sage 50)
• Strong grasp of Irish tax and payroll systems
• High attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Organised, deadline-driven, and capable of managing competing priorities
• Self-starter with a positive mindset and strong interpersonal abilities
• Experience gained within the construction sector is an advantage.
