Maintenance and Operations fuel engineer Airport

Our client based in Dublin Airport is a well-established multinational. We are looking for an Operations and Maintenance Engineering Specialist to join our growing Maintenance and Engineering team. Based in Dublin Airport and reporting to the Duty Maintenance Manager, you will have responsibility for providing technical expertise. They support a number of maintenance and operational teams with comprehensive technical knowledge to minimise operational disruption, maintain standby aircraft fuel availability, achieve high reliability statistics, operational serviceability and oversight of upcoming fuel operations.

Ensure that the Shift Hand Over is performed adequately and that all relevant information is recorded and understood by the Fuel Farm Operators starting

Perform the reception, storage and issuing of jet fuel, including quality controls and other required activities (Fuel Farm & Hydrant Operations and Fuel Quality checks)

Walk around through the fuel farm every 3 hours to ensure compliance with the “SOP.0270.PAT.AI - Aviation Security Programme - (latest edition)”

Ensure that all planned and non-planned maintenance is implemented and properly recorded

Coordinating works on Airport Restricted Area (Apron) with DAA (Dublin Airport Authority)

Supervision of third parties working or visiting on site

Report all incidents and/or issues to management

Managing, monitoring and reporting the suppliers fuel stocks in the fuel farm

Good housekeeping of the fuel farm and hydrant

Skills/Environment

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely are critical for fuel distribution operators.
  • Be able to use EXCEL, WORD and IT Tools
  • Be able to manage emails and Outlook
  • Good learning abilities, for both, IT and hands on.
  • Understand mechanics, basic electricity and basic physics concepts (pressure, flow, density)
  • Mechanical hands-on experience in Industrial Facilities (desirable fuel)
  • Be able to work in various types of weather conditions.
  • Work on 12-hour shifts, days and nights, from 7am to 7pm, with 60-40 split days-nights.
  • Working on weekends.
  • Be able to communicate with employees at all levels of an organization.
  • Be able to work well both, in teams and independently.

Education

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check also are fuel distribution operator job prerequisites.
  • Full clean B License.
  • Full C and CE license is desirable.
  • ADR tanker and packaging are desirable.
