Overview We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Administrator to oversee the commercial and contractual management of major Life Science and Data Centre projects. This role, requires strong self-management, digital collaboration skills, and experience working with international stakeholders. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for cost control, contract administration, procurement oversight, risk management, and commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. We are continually looking for experienced professionals to join our team. Responsibilities Commercial Management Lead all quantity surveying and commercial activities for the project. Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project budgets and cost plans. Monitor and report on project financial performance, forecasting, and cash flow. Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities. Prepare and present monthly cost reports to senior management and stakeholders. Contract Administration Administer contracts in accordance with agreed terms (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, JCT, or bespoke contracts). Manage contractual correspondence, notices, and change management processes. Evaluate and negotiate variations, claims, and final accounts. Provide contractual advice to the project team. Ensure compliance with Belgian and EU regulations where applicable. Procurement & Subcontract Management Lead subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations, and award recommendations. Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements. Assess interim valuations and approve payments. Manage subcontractor claims and dispute resolution. Stakeholder Coordination Collaborate remotely with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors. Attend virtual progress meetings and provide commercial input. Liaise with client representatives and external advisors. Risk & Compliance Maintain risk registers and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and audit requirements. Support dispute avoidance and resolution strategies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation preferred. Minimum 8-10 years' experience in quantity surveying and contract administration. Proven experience leading commercial functions on large-scale construction projects. Strong knowledge of international construction contracts (FIDIC preferred). Experience working on projects within the EU is highly desirable. Strong understanding of cost control systems and commercial reporting. Key Skills & Competencies Excellent contractual and commercial acumen. Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills. Advanced financial and analytical capabilities. High level of autonomy and self-discipline. Strong communication skills in English (French or Dutch is an advantage).
