Event Medical Manager
We are hiring an Event Medical Manager to plan and deliver medical cover at events, lead clinical teams, manage risk, and ensure safe, high-quality care for attendees and staff.
About The Role
The Event Medical Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of medical services across a diverse range of events. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and effective medical care of all attendees, staff, and participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver medical cover for events, ranging from small gatherings to large-scale public events
- Perform detailed risk assessments and identify appropriate levels of medical staffing and resources
- Manage, lead, and support multidisciplinary medical teams, including paramedics, nurses, EMTs, and first aiders
- Act as the primary medical point of contact for event organisers and stakeholders
- Liaise with emergency services, local authorities, and venue management teams
- Develop and implement medical action plans, major incident procedures, and contingency strategies
- Ensure all medical services comply with clinical governance standards, health & safety legislation, and industry guidance
- Oversee medical equipment, vehicles, and supplies, ensuring readiness and compliance
- Monitor on-site medical operations and respond to incidents as required
- Complete post-event reports, including incident analysis and recommendations for future improvements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in operational management
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Sound knowledge of event safety standards and clinical governance
- Full driving license
- Relevant healthcare qualification
