Key Accountabilities
  • Partner closely with Corporate Sales Managers to lead the RFP/RFQ process, define our Win Strategy and deliver exceptional, highly tailored proposal responses.
  • Review Sysco’s existing repository of approved proposal responses to ensure accuracy and clear messaging of our credentials and track record.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts from Merchandising, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Operations and Marketing to develop compelling, value‑based messaging.
  • Track and analyse key proposal metrics, identify improvement areas and support data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Provide monthly updates on the proposal development pipeline to the Head of Corporate Sales and Commercial Director.
  • Coach team members on developing engaging, well‑tailored proposal responses for potential customers and industry.
Requirements
  • Experience in a Proposal/Bid Manager role.
  • Excellent project management skills; able to organise and lead cross‑functional teams on simultaneous proposal efforts.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, able to shift priorities and remain calm under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder relationships and collaborative mindset.
  • Integrity and respect in all actions.
  • Proficiency with tools such as PowerPoint and Smartsheet – eye for formatting, consistency and clarity in proposal content.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience supporting sales strategy improvements.
  • Knowledge of the Foodservice industry.
  • Experience in fast growth companies.
  • Experience with Salesforce and proposal management software.
