Civil Infrastructure Engineer / Civil Design Engineer - Project Manager Location: Hybrid (Work from home) with offices in Belfast, and project offices in Cavan and Monaghan Our client is a multi-disciplinary civil and architectural consultancy operating throughout Ireland. They deliver high-profile infrastructure projects - from recreational campuses and regional sports facilities (GAA, swimming pools) to public realm improvements, blue/green infrastructure, and water/wastewater upgrades for NIWater and Uisce ireann. Role Overview We are seeking a Civil Infrastructure Engineer / Project Manager to join their busy Infrastructure team. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility with both remote work and access to office space in Belfast, Cavan, or Monaghan. You will work on a wide range of civil infrastructure projects, including: Leisure & recreational developments Community / public realm improvement schemes Environmental and blue / green infrastructure Active travel infrastructure (e.g., NTA, TII funded) Key Responsibilities Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed designs for infrastructure schemes Coordinate with clients, internal design teams, and external consultants Support statutory approvals and planning processes Lead design team and client meetings Prepare specification documents, risk assessments, and technical drawings using Auto CAD/Micro Drainage or similiar package Create programme schedules, progress reports, and procurement documentation Manage contractors and lead on procurement/planning Act as NEC Project Manager during construction Perform other engineering or project-management duties as needed Skills & Experience Required Degree in Civil Engineering (essential) At least 5 years' experience in civil infrastructure design Strong project management capabilities (desirable) Excellent communication and team working skills Self-motivated, but comfortable working collaboratively Experience in delivering infrastructure projects in border regions (Cavan, Monaghan, etc.) is advantageous Why Join Us?
