Morgan McKinley is delighted to be partnering with a leading logistics and supply chain organisation to recruit an experienced Customs Clearance Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business operating across Ireland, the UK, and international markets. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods across road, sea, and air freight operations. This position requires a strong understanding of Irish customs regulations, import/export procedures, and customs compliance frameworks. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit Import and Export Customs Declarations accurately and within required timelines. Complete ENS, PBN, and associated customs documentation across road, sea, and air freight movements. Collaborate closely with operational teams and international offices to ensure seamless cargo movement and customs compliance. Liaise directly with customers, customs authorities, and internal stakeholders to obtain required documentation and resolve clearance queries. Develop and maintain customs declaration templates to improve efficiency and consistency for regular transactions. Support customs compliance initiatives and internal audit processes to ensure adherence to AEO standards and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to operational excellence within the customs function. Essential Requirements Azyra experience is essential. Candidates must have a minimum of two years' hands-on experience using the Azyra Warehouse Management System (WMS) and customs processing platform. Applications without proven Azyra experience will not be considered. In addition, candidates must possess: 2-4 years' experience in Customs Clearance within Ireland. Strong working knowledge of Irish Revenue Customs regulations and procedures. Experience completing customs declarations across import and export operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience liaising with regulatory authorities including DAFM, HSE, Port Health, and other government agencies. Technical Knowledge Required The successful candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in: Import and Export Customs Procedures Customs Documentation and Compliance Requirements Tariff Classification and Commodity Codes Incoterms Transit Procedures EUR1 and ATR1 Documentation Rules of Origin Certificates of Origin and Invoice Declarations Approved Supplier Processes REX (Registered Exporter System) Customs Invoicing VAT Rules and Applications Customs Warehousing Inward Processing Relief Duty Payment Methods Anti-Dumping Duties Safeguard Duties Tariff Quotas and Regulatory Controls Additional Customs Codes and REACH Legislation Desirable Experience Experience creating CHED documentation within TRACES. Experience uploading documentation via INIS. Knowledge of TSS declarations for Northern Ireland imports.
