About the RoleAs a Data Scientist, you'll lead cross‑functional data science efforts to understand business requirements and design, build, and implement innovative solutions that enhance statistical modeling, measure value delivery and inform product decisions.
As part of a team that provides technical leadership for Workday’s flagship HCM and Workforce Products, this role will evangelize the use of data, the measurement and analysis of user behaviors, to inform product direction. In this role you are expected to excavate the “value” that our customers derive from using our products and reconstruct the user journey through Workday application from the data residing in different locations and different formats.
This role will interact with a range of Product Stakeholder and Technical Leaders, and will serve as a domain authority on how we can effectively use data to inform product decisions and overall strategy.
Primary ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate is a professional who’s more than a technical authority - you are a problem‑solver, collaborator, and meaningfully a self‑motivated leader. You bring a strong business mentality that enables you to link data sources with product narratives. You have a curious and creative mind, always seeking new ways to approach and address sophisticated data problems. You are adaptable and flexible, able to work with different teams and technologies to deliver results. You communicate clearly and effectively, sharing your findings and insights with others in a way that’s understandable and practical.
Basic QualificationsWith Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in‑person time and remote.
