Job Description
Legal Executive - Mortgage Enforcement Location: Dublin 2 (predominantly in-office role) Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Executive to join their Mortgage Enforcement and Debt Recovery team. The successful candidate will manage a busy caseload of mortgage enforcement matters, supporting solicitors through all stages of repossession and debt recovery proceedings while maintaining excellent client service standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional with strong litigation support experience and a thorough understanding of mortgage enforcement processes within the Irish legal system. Key Responsibilities Manage a high-volume caseload of mortgage enforcement files from instruction through to conclusion. Draft legal documentation, including: Civil Bills Motions Affidavits Notices and correspondence Court documentation Prepare and lodge court documents in accordance with relevant court procedures and deadlines. Liaise with clients, financial institutions, barristers, solicitors, county registrars, courts and third parties. Maintain accurate file records and case management systems. Monitor and manage critical dates, court appearances and limitation periods. Review loan and security documentation to ensure completeness and identify any issues requiring attention. Coordinate with external stakeholders regarding property possession, receivership and enforcement actions. Prepare status reports and updates for clients. Attend court where required and support solicitors in contested and uncontested proceedings. Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal and client service requirements. Requirements Essential Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a Legal Executive role within mortgage enforcement, litigation, debt recovery or banking law. Strong knowledge of Irish mortgage enforcement and repossession procedures. Experience preparing court documentation and managing litigation files. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desirable Relevant qualification in Legal Studies, Law or Business. Experience working with financial institutions, loan servicers or law firms specialising in banking litigation. Knowledge of property law and secured lending.
