Key Responsibilities of the Role: 1. Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight Implement and maintain the Mercury QMS in compliance with Mercury SOPs. Assist in the development of any project specific QA work procedures. Assist in the development of any project specific ITPs. Hold Quality Induction Workshops to promote awareness of the project specific requirements. Work closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams. 2. Inspection & Compliance Conduct and record surveillance / in progress inspections of all work carried out in on the project. Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE), customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. Conduct audits and inspections of electrical products and systems 3. Documentation & Reporting Prepare and verify quality documentation, including inspection reports and certifications. Conduct and record final inspections on all work carried out on the project. 4. Continuous Improvement Develop and monitor KPIs to drive quality improvements. Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects and failures. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and 5 S methodologies to optimize processes. Essential Criteria for the Role: Strong knowledge of electrical systems and standards. Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and KPI development. Experience with internal audits, corrective/preventive actions, and compliance documentation. Familiarity with calibration systems, test plans, and quality documentation. Desirable Criteria: Attention to detail - critical for identifying defects and ensuring compliance. Effective communication - to liaise with production, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Problem-solving - proactive in identifying root causes and implementing solutions. Adaptability & continuous improvement mindset - driving innovation in QA processes. Mercury is an equal opportunities employer.
