Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Head of Finance to lead our finance function and oversee a team of eight professionals. You will report directly to the CEO, with a dotted line to the Group CFO, and play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, process improvement, and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership position with significant exposure to group executives, payroll/HR responsibilities, and IT/process initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Oversee production of month-end accounts by workday 5, ensuring all required tasks are completed (e.g., journal posting, balance sheet reconciliations). Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures. Finalize monthly reporting deck and present results to Group Executives. Generate complete P&L and balance sheet for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Lead payroll processing and ensure all staff are paid on time; act as point of contact for payroll and HR matters. Manage the year-end close and audit process. Submit regular cashflow reports to Group entity. Oversee and ensure submission of all statutory tax reports (VAT, VIES, Intrastat), liaising with Group Tax team. Drive continuous improvement for IT systems and month-end processes. Qualifications: Degree in Accounting or equivalent. Qualified accountant with at least 5 years post-qualification experience. Experience using SAP and COGNOS is an advantage. Previous exposure to indirect tax and payroll/HR processes preferred. Exceptional communication skills, organizational ability, and time management. Proven adaptability and initiative in fast-paced environments. Strong proficiency in Excel. Location: Dublin North. Minimum 3 days per week on-site. Skills: SAP Management Operations ACCA
