Job Coach (Senior Supervisor grade) 1 - Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months 1 - Fixed Term Contract until December 2028 39 hour working week Salary: The 11-point salary scale for the post as of 01/08/2025: €40,521, €41,398, €42,663, €43,975, €45,337, €46,745, €48,205, €49,717, €51,286, €52,947, €54,705 LSIs New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies. The Ability@Work Programme, Horizons Cork, has an exciting opportunity for a new person/s to join our team. The Workability: Inclusive Pathways to Employment Programme, creates supported employment opportunities for people we support (job seeker) to realise UNCRPD article 27 in sourcing meaningful employment and work. The Ability@Work Programme is an innovative approach connecting people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism closer to the labour market. The programme assists people to advance along the career progression continuum by offering training, education and work opportunities, based on the individual choices of the jobseeker. This is a person-centred programme, linking the job seeker and inclusive employers in the open labour market. The following are essential requirements for the position: Relevant third level qualification A full clean drivers' licence - be a car owner at time of application Applicants must have the right to work in Ireland and hold up to date, valid employment permissions Experience / be involved in creating opportunities for further education, training, work placement or paid work with employers for young people with intellectual disabilities Be prepared to work hands on, coaching side by side with the participants in their location of employment/training In depth knowledge of supported employment, employment policies, and entitlements and rights for people in the workplace Be person- centred in approach, really listen to what people we support communicate Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent team work, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to contribute, and work collaboratively as part of a team adjusting to varying workloads and changing schedules. Excellent oral, written and electronic communication skills Ability to inspire and motivate people to engage in the programme Be a self-starter, have the ability to work using own initiative Flexibility and openness to respond to the varying needs of the programme and it's participants choices Ability to meet programme deadlines, outcomes and reporting deadlines Efficient record keeping and reporting in a way that compliments the team and the programme Think creatively and explore various options for people to succeed in their career journey Interface with employers in a professional manner, delivering a high-quality service Desirable requirements: Experience in report writing, presentation and research skills Some experience supporting people in the workplace is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided Previous experience liaising with businesses or employers Informal enquiries may be made to Marian Hennessy, Ability@Work Co-ordinator at.
