A well-established and respected building services engineering consultancy is seeking a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join its team in West Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career engineer to develop strong technical foundations within a consultancy environment delivering high-quality building services projects across commercial and mixed-use sectors. You will work alongside experienced mechanical and electrical engineers in a collaborative M&E team, gaining exposure to projects from concept design through to construction and handover. The Role As a Junior Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the design and coordination of electrical building services systems across live projects. Key responsibilities include: Assisting in the design of electrical building services systems including: Lighting & emergency lighting Small power & distribution Fire alarm & life safety systems Containment & cable management Producing drawings and layouts using Auto CAD and/or Revit. Supporting preparation of calculations, technical reports, and specifications. Coordinating designs with mechanical, architectural and structural teams. Attending site visits and supporting construction-stage queries. Ensuring compliance with Irish building regulations and electrical standards. This role provides strong mentorship and structured development within a technically driven consultancy. About You Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering. 13 years experience (consultancy, placement or graduate experience welcome). Familiarity with Auto CAD and/or Revit. Strong technical curiosity and attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to work within a team. Keen interest in progressing toward professional accreditation (Engineers Ireland / CIBSE). Whats On Offer Highly competitive salary (depending on experience).
