Job Summary

Responsible for the operation, employees and processes of the warehouse/inventory and oversight of Goods Receiving; storing, picking & packing and distributing goods internally to achieve short- and long-term goals and KPI's.Overall responsibility to optimize use of material / material AvT, and take to collaborative actions, across internal Departments where needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage materials ordering within budget and ensure optimal stock levels using Days on Hand data
• Oversee quality control of incoming goods and monitor material waste/deadstock
• Lead Warehouse/Stores team including recruitment, training, and performance management
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the department
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, security, and audit requirements
• Manage day-to-day Goods Receiving and inventory operations within budget
• Collaborate with Ordering, IDS, and Production teams to maintain stock levels and meet KPIs
• Monitor and replenish floating stock and rotable equipment on the shop floor
• Communicate with internal/external stakeholders on irregularities and implement corrective actions
• Oversee supplier performance standards with Procurement support

Education

• Degree educated preferred and/or relevant equivalent work experience at a similar level.
• Professional qualification in operations/logistics preferred.

Work Experience

• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
• Proven experience of managing teams within a warehouse, manufacturing, airline catering or production process.
• Minimum of 3 years management experience with demonstrable leadership and/or management activities and responsibilities.

Technical Skills

• Level 3 HACCP certification
• Proven leadership ability
• Level 3 Food Safety certification
• Level 3 Workplace Health & Safety / NEBOSH Certification or commitment to complete
• Ability to lead and manage diverse teams of varying sizes.
• Good negotiating and persuasive skills.
• Ability to effectively manage conflict.
• Ability to motivate and driver performance.
