Are you an ambitious Optometrist ready to step beyond routine eye examinations and into the world of refractive and surgical care?

We are recruiting for an Optometrist to join a leading eye clinic in Dublin, offering full refractive training and the opportunity to work alongside experienced Ophthalmologists and Optometrists using state-of-the-art technology. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical skillset in a progressive, patient-focused environment that genuinely changes lives.

The Role

You will conduct comprehensive eye examinations and advanced diagnostic assessments, supporting patients through their refractive journey and identifying those suitable for surgical procedures.

You'll be working with cutting-edge equipment including:

• OCT
• Oculus Pentacam
• Slit lamp microscope
• iDesign
• Humphrey's Visual Fields
• IOL Master

Key Responsibilities

• Identify refractive errors and early signs of ocular or general health conditions
• Conduct corneal analysis, binocular vision assessments, anterior and retinal health checks
• Perform anterior eye diagnostic imaging
• Instil eye drops (including dilation) where clinically required
• Insert and remove contact lenses
• Assess suitability for refractive procedures and clearly explain risks and benefits
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Support clinical governance and adhere to health & safety standards

About You

• Experience within a busy practice environment
• Registered with CORU (Republic of Ireland) or GOC (if applicable in Northern Ireland)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent clinical judgement
• Passionate about developing beyond routine sight tests
• Friendly, empathetic and adaptable with different patient personalities
• Previous experience working as an Optom in Ireland
