Our client, a progressive public sector organisation delivering Ireland's climate action objectives, is seeking a Programme Executive/Project Engineer to join its Inspections Unit, supporting quality assurance, compliance auditing and governance across national energy upgrade programmes. Location: Dublin, Dundalk, Cork or Sligo (Hybrid) Salary: €53,071 Contract: 14-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Leave Cover) Key Responsibilities Support risk-based audits and inspections across residential energy upgrade schemes, including Solar PV and One Stop Shop programmes. Manage and monitor outsourced inspection providers, ensuring compliance activities are completed efficiently and in line with service standards. Analyse inspection and audit data, identify trends and support risk management activities. Produce reports, dashboards and performance metrics using data visualisation tools. Support programme delivery teams by providing compliance guidance and operational insights. Assist with forecasting inspection volumes, contractor performance monitoring and invoice reconciliation. Contribute to process improvement, digitalisation and automation initiatives. Participate in site inspection visits as required. Essential Requirements Applicants must meet one of the following qualification pathways: NFQ Level 8 qualification (or higher) in Science, Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, Building Services, Construction Project Management or a related discipline, with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience. OR NFQ Level 7 qualification (or higher) in a relevant discipline, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience. In addition, candidates must demonstrate: Experience working with large datasets and advanced spreadsheet analysis. Experience using Power Query and Power BI or Tableau. Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, Power Point, Share Point and MS Teams. Knowledge of renewable energy, energy efficiency or sustainable energy programmes. Desirable Requirements Experience in compliance, auditing, inspections or quality assurance environments. Knowledge of construction, building technologies, building services or spatial planning. Experience managing outsourced service providers or contractors. Knowledge of business process management.
