PROJECT MANAGER CONSTRUCTION THE SHANNON AIRPORT GROUP Role Purpose The Shannon Airport Group is a commercial semi-state company providing air transport and aviation services at Shannon Airport and its environs while also supporting the growing aviation cluster in the region. In addition, The Shannon Airport Group owns and manages a large commercial property portfolio of office blocks and a range of industrial, advanced manufacturing and aviation facilities in the region. With major projects planned, some of which include a full upgrade of baggage halls, taxiway upgrades and a new thermal wrap of the external airport arrivals area and over €40 million investment planned, this role offers a unique opportunity to manage construction projects in a live, operational airport environment and within Irelands largest commercial business park (outside of Dublin), where planning, judgement and leadership really matter. The Opportunity As a construction Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of capital works across airside and landside environments, working alongside operations, engineering, and commercial teams to deliver transformational construction projects. What Youll Be Doing Coordinating all activities related to construction projects from concept through to completion and handover. Leading contractors and consultants in a live airport environment and within our Business Parks. Managing programme, cost, quality and risk on complex construction packages. Championing the highest quality and safety standards across all project phases Overseeing the external tender process for both small and large capital works projects ensuring the successful appointment of consultants and contractors. Leading the planning and delivery of infrastructure projects from concept to handover. Providing clear, confident advice to senior stakeholders and decision makers. Resolving issues quickly and efficiently in a fast-moving environment. Liaison with various utility suppliers and Government Agencies to cultivate strong working relationships. Adhering to public procurement guidelines, ensuring compliance and competitive procedures are followed and working closely with our Procurement Team. Be fully accountable for the delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, in accordance with the contract requirements and to budget. Responsible for effective client relationship management, collaborative approach and providing updates to internal and external stakeholders on project/contract progress. Minimum 7+ years post graduate experience in a similar type role, with a demonstrable record of taking construction projects from inception through to delivery. Excellent knowledge of current construction industry and technical developments. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Power point. Experience in Auto CAD / Project Manager / Presentation Software an advantage.
