The Role We are currently seeking a Sales Assistant to join a busy and customer-focused team in Cork. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with customers, providing expert advice and guiding them through product selections across heating, bathroom, and tiling solutions. You will play a key role in delivering an excellent in-store experience while contributing to sales performance and maintaining high standards across the showroom. Key Responsibilities Assist customers with product selection, offering knowledgeable advice on heating systems, bathroom fittings, and tiles Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions Drive sales and contribute to achieving store targets Maintain showroom standards, ensuring displays are well-presented and up to date Monitor stock levels and support inventory management Process sales through POS systems and handle customer queries efficiently Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations Continuously develop product knowledge to better support customers Requirements Previous experience in retail or sales (experience in heating, bathrooms, or tiles is an advantage but not essential) Strong communication and interpersonal skills A customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering excellent service Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks Good organisational skills and attention to detail Basic computer skills and experience using POS systems A proactive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team What's on Offer Opportunity to join a well-established and reputable company Supportive team environment Ongoing training and product development Competitive salary (depending on experience) Skills: warehouse sales forklift
