The position is split roughly as follows: 80% Node.js/Type Script backend, 10% Angular frontend, and 10% Python AI services. A forward-thinking team using Cursor as their primary development environment, powered by Claude AI for seamless AI-assisted coding. Location: Dublin City Hybrid working : 3 days a week onsite Essential skill-set 5+ years Node.js (Nest JS / Fastify) / Type Script API Development: Built/integrated REST APIs; platforms exposing REST APIs (Node.js backends) + frontends consuming them Databases: Designed efficient schemas, optimized SQL queries (Postgre SQL preferred; My SQL/SQLite accepted) Test Automation: Jest & Playwright automated test suites Cloud Infrastructure: Productionized AWS EKS Kubernetes, databases, load balancers, API Gateway/Ingress Production & Architecture :- Scalability/resilience expertise Containerized-only: AWS EKS Kubernetes clusters required (no standalone VMs) Angular ideally or React / Vue Python (advantageous)
