Job Summary

Full Time Pediatric SLPSpaulding Charlestown Outpatient40 HoursSummaryResponsible to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, fluency and other related disorders.Does this position require Patient Care? YesEssential Functions-Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.-Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. -Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities. -Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed. -Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, and provide strategies for improving communication. -Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes

Qualifications

EducationMaster's Degree Speech Therapy requiredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?NoLicenses and CredentialsSpeech-language Pathologist (State License) - Generic - HR Only required Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License (State License) - Generic - HR Only preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) - American Speech Language Hearing Association preferred Basic Life Support (BLS Certification) - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) - American Speech Language Hearing Association preferred 

Experience

1-2 years of experience required

3+ years of experience preferred

Experience evaluating and treating pediatric feeding disorders strongly preferred

Experience with AAC devices strongly preferred

Not accepting Clinical Fellows at this time

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Familiarity of diagnostic assessments for speech language.- Employee must have strong interpersonal skills.- Ability to incorporate new clinical procedures sufficiently to perform clinical services independently.- Ability to perform functions associated with contemporary audiology and speech-language pathology scope of practice.- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.- Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations.
