So, what is this job?

As a school meals worker, you will be the smiling face representing us in the school. All meals are prepared in our headquarter in Nenagh, Tipperary, and then delivered to the schools. It's from there that you'll take over. Your duties will consist of heating the meals in the oven and then distribute them to classrooms.

That's a little vague so if you love attention to detail, here's a list for you:

• Load pre-packaged school meals into ovens.
• Turn on oven and heat meals to specific temperature according to HACCP guidelines.
• Unload ovens and distribute lunches to classrooms.
• Ensure adequate stock levels.
• Follow and maintain work and cleaning schedule.
• Maintain temperature and cleaning records.
• Restock the fruit bowls in each classroom.
• Distribute snacks to classrooms.
• HACCP and Manual Handling Training will be provided.

What we're looking for

As you will represent The Lunch Bag in the school community, we are looking for people of sound character and good nature. Our values are very important to us, and to help improve the life of children across the country, we need people who share the same vision.

We do not require you to have the biggest in the building but know that you need to be able to carry 14kg boxes to perform the job.

• Is it job offered on a part-time basis?

Yes, this job is part-time. This position is 3.5 hours a day, Monday through Friday

• Will I have to work all year long?

No As schools close for the summer, we follow their schedule. As a result, you will work with us from the start of the school term in August until the end of the school term in June and will have the summer off to enjoy some well-deserved rest
