Indaver leads the field in sustainable waste management in Europe, with facilities and operations in Belgium, Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands. Our waste-to-energy facility in Meath is the first of its kind on the island of Ireland. We process over 220,000t of residual waste each year and produce electricity to power 22,000 homes annually.

Overview of the role:

To ensure uninterrupted supply of goods and services at the required qualities and at optimum cost for Indaver, compliant with the Strategy and Procedures of the Purchasing Team. We are open to candidates working from our Cork or Dublin offices, this is a hybrid position.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Sourcing of suitable vendors for the supply of the necessary goods and services that meet the requirements of the businesses
  • Maintaining relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure good, reliable sources of supply and information.
  • Purchasing (negotiating and contracting) of goods and services through different kind of contracts e.g. framework agreements, purchasing contracts
  • Manage relationships with various internal stakeholders (business lines, projects, sites, etc.) and participate in cross functional teams that work on sourcing projects and continuous improvement
  • Supporting the business/internal clients in the set-up and monitoring of their operational budgets to ensure that annual objectives are achieved.
  • Provide Guidance and training to assist internal teams manage their procurement needs
  • Source and manage regions fleet of company cars and vans
Experience Required
  • Education - First degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering
  • Experience with procurement, negotiation, contracts and framework agreements
  • Customer oriented (internally/externally)
  • SAP, Excel - SAP S4 an advantage
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Negotiating skills
