Senior Oracle Developer Dublin/Hybrid (3 days onsite required) Pay Rate €450- €500 per day Initial 6 month contract with long term potential

Overview

Our client, a major player in the banking industry, is seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to join their Finance Technology division. This team delivers global technology solutions for core finance functions including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, profitability analysis, corporate tax, planning/forecasting, funds transfer pricing, and regulatory reporting.

This is a high-impact role where you will contribute to the design and implementation of a strategic reference data platform. You will be working on enterprise-scale programs with a global team and collaborating across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Redevelop and migrate functionality from legacy reference data systems to a strategic platform.

  • Design and build tools that accelerate onboarding of new data feeds, including quality monitoring, reconciliation, and test automation tools.

  • Implement new features to enhance data quality and analytics capabilities.

  • Develop core functionality within strategic platforms aligned to long-term technology goals.

  • Provide occasional third-line support for applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues.

  • Conduct business data domain analysis to support development and enhancements.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development with a focus on large-scale databases.

  • Expertise in performance tuning, index strategies, partitioning, optimization, and stored procedures.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proven ability to deliver results in Agile development environments.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience working on financial systems or within banking environments.

  • Familiarity with enterprise-level data governance and quality frameworks.

  • Exposure to global technology initiatives and distributed teams.
