You will be joining one of our development teams to deliver awesome new features for our many users to enjoy.Our engineers are enthusiastic and operate across the development spectrum, from front-end to back-end to CI/CD and infrastructure. We take full responsibility for our work, from requirements gathering and solutioning, to implementation and testing, to deploying and monitoring how our code behaves in front of real customers.As a QA Engineer on our team, youll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications. Youll be expected to contribute to test strategy, execute tests, identify and troubleshoot issues, and help drive improvements to our testing processes.Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, the Software QA Engineer I will work with the delivery team made up of software engineers, product manager, designers and take an active part in delivering high quality software to Rakuten Kobo’s users.Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and technical specifications.
• Perform thorough manual testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing to identify defects and ensure software stability
• Collaborate closely with developers and product owner to understand product functionality, investigate issues, and verify fixes.
• Work with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing detailed bug reports.
• Participate in release management activities, ensuring smooth and successful deployments.
• Monitoring the health of the application after release

RequiredThe Skillset:

• Solid experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with C# and the .NET framework.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
• Knowlege of software testing techniques
• Experience with source control
• Comfortable with and enthusiastic about learning new technologies
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Playwright).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes ( ArgoCD, Azure DevOps)
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP)
• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog.
• Some knowledge of working with modern UI frameworks e.g React/Angular
