We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Financial Controller to join our finance team based in our Kilkenny Head Office on a fixed-term basis. The role is integral to the delivery of accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and full regulatory compliance. It combines rigorous financial analysis with clear communication to senior stakeholders, and requires a proactive, detail-focused individual who works effectively across teams to provide high-quality financial insight. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts for the ifac Group, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all entities. Maintain, develop and implement robust accounting policies and internal financial controls, ensuring full compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor and review costs on an ongoing basis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improved financial performance and efficiency. Oversee and coordinate financial year-end processes and reporting inputs for all business units, ensuring smooth and timely completion. Ensure all statutory, regulatory, and compliance returns are completed accurately and submitted on time across the Group. Coordinate and manage group audits, tax reviews, and act as the primary finance liaison with external stakeholders Lead, develop, and strengthen the finance team and overall finance function, promoting best practice, capability development, and continuous improvement. Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with all key stakeholders across the business, providing trusted financial insight and support. You will be: An ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with a minimum of five years' post qualification experience. Experience in a Financial Controller role in a company with annual turnover of at least €10m. Experience in financial reporting for multiple business units and subsidiaries. Experience in preparing statutory audit files for external audit compliance. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Commercial awareness and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
