Job Description

GreenC Marine Ltd is a specialist Marine Civil Engineering contractor based in Kerry who carry out high profile projects throughout Ireland and the UK. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing company with excellent scope for career development and promotion. GreenC Marine carry out a wide variety of marine based civil Engineering projects including offshore renewables, cable landings, dredging, ports and harbour construction and commercial diving. Whilst marine civil engineering experience is desirable it is not essential to a motivated candidate with Civil Engineering project experience. GreenC Marines management team have many years experience in marine civil Engineering projects and will provide mentorship and guidance in the marine aspects of the civil Engineering projects. The role will be part office and part site based with approximately a 50 / 50 split between the two work locations. The role will involve assisting the project manager with the pre works preparation, drawings and design through to the effective and safe delivery of the project on site. We have an immediate vacancy for a motivated Site Engineer to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities Assisting the project manager and delivery team with tender preparation, pre start planning, programming and organisation prior to the start of the project Ensuring compliance with the contract requirements, and all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental standards. Setting out and quality assurance management. Understanding of Health & Safety requirements to assist the project manager in preparing method statements, risk assessments, site inductions, and toolbox talks etc. Working alongside the project manager to ensure the project is managed effectively. Management of the supply chain and subcontractors Material procurement. Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent professional qualification. Marine Civil Engineering experience is desirable but not essential. 2 years + Civil Engineering project experience. Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills. Knowledge and experience of relevant industry standards, specifications, regulations, contract documents, and works methodologies. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Irish/EU/UK driving licence. Permission to work in Ireland and the UK.
