What You'll Be Doing Developing and enhancing Health & Safety policies, procedures, and best practices to support a safe and compliant working environment. Managing Health & Safety records, registers, risk assessments, and compliance documentation. Monitoring key performance indicators and identifying opportunities for improvement. Conducting regular workplace inspections and working collaboratively with teams to address risks and implement solutions. Supporting investigations into incidents, hazards, and near misses while ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented. Promoting occupational health, wellbeing, and proactive risk management initiatives. Leading and supporting risk assessment activities across the business. Coordinating safety audits, inspections, emergency preparedness exercises, and business continuity planning. Designing and delivering Health & Safety training programmes that build capability and compliance. Acting as a trusted advisor on Health & Safety matters and building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation. What Will Help You Succeed A recognised qualification in Health & Safety. A strong understanding of current Environmental, Health & Safety legislation and best practice. At least two years' experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within a laboratory, food, manufacturing, or regulated environment. The ability to influence others, build engagement, and promote positive behavioural change. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Excellent organisational and project management capabilities. A methodical approach and strong attention to detail. Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities. A full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel between sites as required.
