Maintenance Technician-Offaly Overview: A Midlands-based food company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability, performance, and safety of its mechanical and electrical systems. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role focuses on preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and continuous improvement to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Carry out preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment Troubleshoot and repair equipment faults efficiently Identify and implement equipment improvements to enhance performance Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with suppliers to ensure availability Requirements: Relevant trade qualification in mechanical or electrical disciplines Experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting Familiarity with maintenance management systems; PLC experience (e.g., Allen Bradley) is advantageous Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems Working Hours & Benefits Full-time, permanent position with salary €45,000-€50,000 per year Rotating shifts: Week 1 (Evenings): Sunday 3pm-7pm, Monday-Thursday 3pm-12am Week 2 (Days): Monday-Friday 8am-4pm On-call participation with additional compensation Additional Information Flexibility to work rotating day and evening shifts is essential Skills: Midlands Offaly Food Maintenance Technician
