Attic Insulation Operations Manager (Hands-On) Location: Birr, Co. Offaly Sector: Construction / Insulation About the Role An established and growing insulation contractor is seeking an experienced Attic Insulation Operations Manager to lead and support attic insulation works in the Birr area. This is a hands-on role - ideal for someone with strong attic/loft insulation experience who is ready to step into a leadership position while still being actively involved on-site. You will oversee day-to-day operations, maintain high installation standards, support and train teams, and ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high quality. Key Responsibilities Hands-On Operations Carry out and support attic insulation installations when required Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards Complete site assessments, risk assessments, and method statements Troubleshoot technical or on-site issues Team Leadership Lead, supervise, and motivate insulation operatives and subcontractors Provide on-the-job training and mentoring Deliver toolbox talks and support ongoing skills development Monitor performance and provide corrective coaching when needed Planning & Coordination Help plan and schedule daily and weekly workloads Liaise with office staff, surveyors, and clients Monitor productivity, quality, and costs Provide regular operational updates Stock, Fleet & Equipment Manage insulation materials, PPE, and consumables Forecast and order materials to avoid delays or waste Oversee vehicles and specialist equipment Ensure servicing, inspections, and defect reporting are completed Health & Safety Enforce health & safety policies on all sites Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards Investigate incidents and near misses Promote a strong safety-first culture Customer Interaction Act as a point of contact for site-based queries Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach Represent the business positively on all jobs Skills & Experience Essential Proven experience in attic / loft insulation installation Strong practical knowledge of insulation materials and techniques Previous experience leading or supervising teams Good understanding of health & safety in construction Full driving licence Working Conditions Site-based role, primarily attic insulation work Flexible hours to meet operational needs Physical role involving work in confined spaces at times What's on Offer Attractive salary (depending on experience) Career progression within a growing business Ongoing training and development If you would like more information, please contact Siobhan on or click the link to apply.
