Category Development Executive Naas – Hybrid (3 days a week in office) Competitive salary and benefits Frozen Food has seen substantial growth over the last 5 years, with head room for further growth. Nomad Foods has strong relationships across the trade in Ireland, providing the opportunity to deliver a customised Category Vision, and to lead with best-in-class category management. A broad approach to the market will be needed – working across all key customers in the market. The Role This role will sit within the Ireland Commercial team , but will report to the Senior Category Manager for Ireland. Ireland is a key market for Nomad Foods, with Ireland accounting for circa 10% of sales of the UK&I Cluster. In this role you will have the opportunity to support with the delivery of category plans and insights for Birds Eye Ireland. This role is a great foundation for learning the ropes of Category Management & Insights; you will be able to build strategic relationships with Commercial, Revenue Growth Management and Marketing teams & be a pivotal contact in providing the necessary insights to make key business decisions. This role includes being the voice of the shopper & consumer internally, creating and implementing the best point of purchase solutions, driving growth for both Birds Eye and the retailer along with transforming the shoppers and retailers' view of savoury frozen. About you… An experienced commercially minded marketeer with a passion for food, our brands and consumers, this individual is accountable for having a 'making things happen' mindset and is able to work collaboratively across multiple locations, stakeholder and priorities to support the delivery of our Goodfella's and Aunt Bessie's plans in Ireland. A proven ability to support a wide portfolio, with the resilience and adaptability to deliver in market will be key. Utilising data and insights whilst using a curious mindset to ask questions. Driving through to successful outcomes and opportunities through collaboration with stakeholders to support the delivery of the Irish execution plan. Having the empathy and curiosity towards consumers learn to anticipate, solve and stay relevant to their common macro needs and desires, working with the wider team to be collectively learning and testing great ideas Responsibilities: Develop a working knowledge of the Frozen Food Category including market segmentation and trends to enable more effective reporting. Ownership of key categories within the business, working cross functionally to drive growth within these categories. Thinking with a shopper centric mindset, bring the shopper and consumer view to the internal team aiding in the delivery of innovation launches and through the line marketing campaigns, always keeping the shopper at the forefront of business decisions where appropriate. Through analysis and study of multiple data sources, develop an unassailable level of Frozen category insight which will drive business actions and growth: Create, develop, and deliver regular category updates for internal & external stakeholders. Ownership of convenience channel, accounting for 30% of the sales within Ireland, working cross-functionally and engaging with retailers to drive convenience channel growth: About You FMCG experience is highly desirable.
