Eamonn Crean currently requires a full-time Dairy Farm Manager for a progressive busy farm in Davidstown, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford.

Duties include:

· Operating DelPro 18 unit swing-over grazing system which includes drafting and bulling system

. 160 Cows

· Being part of the team looking after a high EBI, Spring calving cross bread herd, and rearing calves etc.

· Operating farm machinery

· Grassland management-measuring

· Record keeping

· General farm work & maintenance

· Animal Husbandry, awareness of animal health & welfare

· Herd health management, veterinary treatments, and routine vaccinations

· Group consultancy meetings once a month with availability for training and upskilling

· Being part of a local like-minded discussion group

· Consulting with animal nutritionists and livestock feed sales representatives to create feeding plans that yield maximum milk production levels.

· Having great awareness and abiding by all health and safety precautions daily

· Be confident and comfortable in managing the Dairy farm in the Dairy Farm Managers absence.

The ideal candidate must have the following competencies, skills, and experience to succeed in the role:

· Mechanical skills

· Physical strength

· Analytical Skills

· Interpersonal Skills

· Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred working in a similar role.

· A full driver's license

· A love of animals

· Ability to plan farm tasks ahead of schedule regarding supplies etc:
