Job Description
Our client, a leading main contractor with a strong track record in energy infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the civils package on a major power station development in Cork. This is a high-profile project offering the successful candidate the opportunity to take ownership of a technically demanding, large-scale build within a critical national infrastructure sector. The Role Reporting to the Project Director, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the civil engineering works on site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Full management of the civils scope on a live power station construction project, from foundations and structural works through to site infrastructure Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality standards Manage site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners Oversee health & safety compliance across the site, championing a strong safety culture Liaise with client representatives, design teams, and engineering consultants Manage project reporting, progress tracking, and cost control Coordinate with M&E and other specialist trades to ensure integrated delivery Identify and manage project risks, resolving issues proactively Requirements Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline Minimum 5 + years' experience in a Project Manager role, ideally within power, energy, or heavy civils/industrial construction Proven track record delivering large-scale civils packages, ideally on power stations, data centres, or similar critical infrastructure Strong knowledge of Irish construction standards, H&S legislation, and CDM regulations Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools Full clean driving licence What's on Offer Highly competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to work on a landmark energy infrastructure project Career progression within a well-established, growing organisation Supportive team environment with strong project pipeline This is a confidential vacancy being handled exclusively by Talent Curve Recruitment.
