Tipperary Salary Competitive Based on Experience About the Company: Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their maintenance team in County Tipperary. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical maintenance professional with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment who is committed to maintaining equipment reliability, improving efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The working week is on a four cycle 12-hour shift rotation so candidates should be flexible to work this pattern. Duties Involve: Carry out all work safely, efficiently, and to the highest GMP standards while maintaining positive working relationships with suppliers, contractors, customers, and colleagues. Perform routine and non-routine electrical maintenance tasks in line with company procedures and industry standards. Ensure the Maintenance Manager is informed of any issues or equipment failures as soon as possible. Communicate all relevant maintenance information effectively during shift handovers. Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to maximise equipment reliability. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Diagnose, repair, and resolve electrical faults while identifying and addressing recurring equipment issues. Assist with the construction, commissioning, qualification, and installation of new equipment. Support the development, review, and improvement of maintenance procedures and equipment documentation. Identify and select appropriate spare parts to maximise equipment availability and minimise downtime. Operate utilities and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently while maximising uptime. Collect, monitor, and analyse equipment performance data to support maintenance improvements. Assist with planned shutdown preparation and execution. Train and support colleagues on maintenance procedures and best practices where required. Troubleshoot, maintain, and support utility and manufacturing equipment to ensure the production of high-quality products. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with statutory regulations, environmental requirements, cGMP standards, company policies, and site procedures. Report all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) incidents and near misses promptly. Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across all work areas. Support the engineering team in delivering maintenance and capital projects. Complete all preventative maintenance schedules and reactive repairs as required. Skills Required: Minimum of 4 years' experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently. Previous experience working in a high-volume, automated manufacturing environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a maintenance team. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
