The role

We are currently recruiting and are looking for a highly motivated and aspiring Feasibility Architect keen to be part of a team in a very busy and sometimes hectic environment. The types of projects the Architect will work on will be wide ranging, from greenfield sites, to renovations, single use buildings to complex, multi-use sites. The ideal candidate will be competent carrying out feasibility studies and design development in collaboration with the Group Development Director and the in house interiors design team.

We would love you to have
  • A high level of computer literacy, with a good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience conducting feasibility studies and design development would be beneficial, but is not essential.
  • Strong design capabilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • A self motivated attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A good understanding of current building regulations and planning legislation.
What you can do for us
  • Review and assess third party developer plans to ensure they meet Staycity's aparthotel design standards and room requirements.
  • Evaluate proposed schemes to ensure they are functional, practical and aligned with operational needs.
  • Collaborate closely with our Interior Design team on room layouts and the distribution of Front of House and Back of House areas.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts between developer proposals and Staycity requirements, adapting plans where necessary.
  • Amend and update drawings in line with Staycity standards and project requirements.
  • Produce high quality layout drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Issue drawings and project updates to stakeholders through clear and professional communication.
  • Effectively manage and prioritise your workload across multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Support the wider Architecture & Development team with additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
