This role will report to the CTO and interface with the CEO and Head of Customer Success on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

Development Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web application features using , , and TypeScript
• Deliver enhancements, bug fixes, and internal tools
• Support API development and integrations
• Work with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases and write basic queries
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with senior developers, designers, and project leads
• Follow best practices in version control, testing, and basic DevOps processes

Client-Facing Responsibilities

The successful candidate will engage with customers as part of a team by:

• Attending client meetings (online) with the Kaptea Customer Success team
• Supporting the Customer Success team with technical conversations and analytics
• Gathering technical requirements, documenting tasks, and diligently following-up
• Liaising with customers during minor updates and troubleshooting
• Communicating technical topics in a clear, friendly, and professional way

This is not a sales role, the expectation is light-touch client interaction to support project delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• 1–2+ years experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
• Exposure to and/or through work, internship, or personal projects
• Understanding of REST APIs and general web development
• Basic SQL knowledge (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub

Soft Skills

• Confident, clear and friendly communication style
• Proactive approach to learning and development
• Strong problem-solving mindset
• Good organisational and task management skills
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Side projects or a GitHub portfolio
• Basic understanding of Docker or CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to API-based products or real-time communication tools
• Basic knowledge of security and authentication
