We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientedMechanical Estimatorto join ASEE Group's commercial team. This role will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and compliant cost estimates for mechanical projects. The Mechanical Estimator will play a key role in securing new work for the business, providing technical and commercial expertise throughout the tendering process while supporting and mentoring junior members of the estimating team.

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical engineering projects, including materials, labour, and subcontractor elements.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop accurate estimates.
• Preparation and submission of competitive bids and tenders.
• Work closely with the commercial and project management teams to provide technical input and risk assessment.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries, ensuring accurate pricing and scope coverage.
• Review and assess client requirements, identifying opportunities and risks within tenders
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and ASEE Group procedures.
• Provide handover information and support to project teams following successful bids.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes, systems, and databases.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator.
• Strong track record in preparing cost estimates and winning bids in M&E, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems, industry codes, and standards.
• Experience in tendering for large-scale mechanical projects.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative commercial team.
