Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with growing and innovative food manufacturing business based in Galway to appoint an NPD Technologist to join their Technical team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced product development professional to lead New Product Development and product renovation projects from concept through to commercial launch within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As NPD Technologist, you will be responsible for leading NPD projects from brief through to launch while coordinating activity across R&D, Technical, Operations, Procurement, Quality, Marketing and Supply Chain teams. What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to work within a growing and innovative food manufacturing business Career development and progression opportunities Supportive and collaborative team culture Company events and on-site parking What your day to day will look like: Leading cross-functional NPD projects and managing the full product development lifecycle Developing and maintaining project plans, timelines and budgets Managing factory trials, pilot runs and first productions to ensure smooth handover to operations Supporting new product development, reformulation and cost optimisation initiatives Ensuring products and processes comply with **BRC Global Standard for Food Safety** and customer requirements Supporting BRC audits and ensuring NPD documentation and change control processes meet audit standards Ensuring accurate product specifications, HACCP assessments, allergen management and labelling compliance Maintaining compliance with Irish and EU food legislation Acting as a key technical contact for customers during development projects Managing critical path activities to ensure customer launch deadlines are achieved Driving continuous improvement in NPD processes and supporting the business innovation pipeline What you will need to succeed: Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or a related discipline Project management experience is desirable Working knowledge of Irish and EU food regulations Experience working with NPD projects within a food manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and its application within NPD Understanding of food manufacturing processes and scale-up from pilot to commercial production Excellent project management, organisation and time management skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Your next move To learn more or to apply in confidence, contact Anna at Vickerstock on or submit your CV via the link.
