Overview of the Role I am recruiting for one of my biggest clients for an experienced Oncology Nurse to join a high-performing nursing team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. This role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, supporting innovation in clinical practice, delivering evidence-based care, and developing specialist knowledge within the oncology setting. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Deliver the highest standards of safe, compassionate, and patient-centred care Act as a mentor/preceptor to students and new staff Support and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team Take accountability for the holistic care of assigned patients Promote patient safety, advocacy, dignity, and emotional support Maintain excellent communication (verbal and written) Uphold professional standards and NMBI guidelines Contribute to digitalisation, service improvement, and innovation Support unit leadership and service development initiatives Quality, Audit & Governance Participate in and support clinical audits and research Promote evidence-based practice Support accreditation and quality standards Work closely with Quality & Patient Safety teams Health & Safety Maintain compliance with health, safety, infection control, and risk policies Identify risks and follow incident reporting procedures Ensure safety of patients, staff, and visitors Professional Practice & Leadership Develop leadership skills (Shift Coordinator / Team Leader role) Manage workload and ensure safe staffing levels Safe administration and management of medications Maintain professional development and CPD Use clinical IT systems effectively Maintain confidentiality and GDPR compliance Essential Requirements Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI registration Minimum 1 year post-registration oncology experience (essential) SACT Certification - Mandatory Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD) Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills To know more contact Sonal Tikariha
