Role Description
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a PreConstruction Engineer to work on a variety of projects in the Data Centre, Healthcare, Industrial, Municipal and Pharma sectors. This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to focus on preconstruction design and earlystage project development, while collaborating closely with project teams and clients. As a PreConstruction Engineer, you will be responsible for developing conceptual, feasibility, and detailed preconstruction designs of water treatment systems. You will work across multiple sectors, supporting the technical design, project planning, and bid preparation phases, ensuring that projects are constructible, efficient, and aligned with client requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop preconstruction designs and conceptual layouts for water treatment systems, including data centres, medical water systems, municipal, industrial, pharma, and water reuse/recycling systems.
Perform technical evaluations, modelling, and feasibility studies for water treatment plant options and payback assessments.
Apply technical knowledge of water treatment technologies such as membranes, ion exchange, CDI, filtration, chemical dosing systems, and UV.
Coordinate and adjust the work effort within the project team to ensure preconstruction deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.
Support bid preparation, technical proposals, and earlystage engineering documentation.
Provide technical input to project teams during the transition from preconstruction to construction phases.
Maintain regular communication with clients, suppliers, and internal project teams.
Compile pre and postproject documentation to a high standard.
Assist with business development activities by providing technical expertise during client presentations and tender submissions.
Simultaneously manage multiple preconstruction projects and tasks across various clients.
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in the design and engineering of water treatment systems is essential.
Experience in the Data Centre, Industrial, Municipal, and Pharma sectors is advantageous.
Proven ability to produce conceptual and feasibility designs for water treatment projects.
Strong technical writing and presentation skills; fluent in English with experience presenting to clients.
Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities.
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams to develop conceptual, feasibility, and detailed designs.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable work style.
IT proficient, with experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project).
Experience with 2D/3D CAD software and Revit is an advantage.
Permit to work in the EU.
