Procurement Manager | Fixed-Term Contract (to Jan 2027) | €60k + €5k completion bonus | Little Island, Cork (with once weekly travel to Newmarket) | Fully Onsite Your new company You will be joining a manufacturing organisation that places a strong emphasis on efficiency, supplier performance and operational excellence. The company is undergoing a period of focused improvement across its operations and requires an experienced Procurement Manager to support the business through a key phase of activity. This is a short-term contract role until the end of the year, with a €5,000 completion bonus paid upon successful fulfilment of the full contract term. Your new role In this hands-on and varied role, you will oversee procurement and inventory operations across two manufacturing sites, managing a supplier base of over 300 partners. You will lead and support a long-tenured team of Buyers, manage sourcing activity, and drive both operational purchasing and strategic supply chain initiatives. Responsibilities include PO management, supplier performance oversight, sourcing reviews, ERP data accuracy, inventory analysis, and weekly onsite support in Newmarket. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Stores, and senior leadership, ensuring continuity, compliance, and efficiency throughout the purchasing cycle. What you'll need to succeed You will have at least five years' purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment and a strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. You will bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational capabilities, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Supervisory or team-lead experience is desirable, as you will provide guidance and direction to experienced Buyers. You will also be confident extracting ERP data for reporting, particularly relating to excess and obsolete stock and material consumption. A practical, hands-on mindset is essential, as the role also involves supporting light facilities-related tasks as needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
